What is Orange?

/files/Images/Youth/High School/Teaching Strategy/Orange 4.jpgOrange is a path, a teaching strategy that combines the strength of yellow and red to create the brilliance of another, Orange. By combining the critical influences of the light of the church and the love of family. Orange strategy synchronizes efforts and shows a generation who God is more effectively than either could alone. It's designed to align church leaders and parents to lead with the same end in mind. The strategy crafts core truths into engaging and memorable experiences. Orange enlists parents to act as partners in the spiritual formation of their own children. It connects everyone to a caring leader and a consistent group of peers. The materials create consistent opportunities for students to experience personal ministry.

Why Orange?

/files/Images/Youth/High School/Teaching Strategy/Orange 1.jpgProverbs 22:6 does not say Youth Pastor's should start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. No one has more potential to influence a child or student than a parent. The Orange strategy is an effort to synchronize church leaders and parents around a master plan that builds faith and character in the family. The church's ability to influence a child dramatically increases when the church partners with a parent. In turn, the parent's potential to influence a child powerfully increases when the parent partners with the church. Both work hand in hand with the same end in mind. Making an impact of youth that will last them throughout adulthood.

The Orange Difference!

  1. Incites Wonder:  I'm amazed at the power and mystery of a heavenly Father who created everything, and who loves me and desires to be in a relationship with me forever.
  2. Provokes Discovery: I have been offered forgiveness and redemption through Jesus, and His Spirit has the power to continually transform who I become.
  3. Fuels Passion: I am connected to a global community of believers whose mission is to demonstrate Christ's work of redemption to everyone.

The Orange Strategy

The Grace Place's entire Youth Department is on the same page when it comes to Orange. From Preschool through High School Orange is focused on integrating the light of the church and the love of the home in making an eternal difference. Each emphasizes Biblical core values at different stages of life. In the High School Group the strategy brings together all three experiences to provoke passion in teenagers. Wonder + Discovery + Passion = Experience x 3 or XP3. The materials for teens are designed to always be biblical, engaging, relevant, and experiential. The combination of engaged parents and focused church leadership will help maximize the impact of Orange in students.

Be Orange!

There are two ways for High School students and their families to go Orange. We have services where teenagers and there families can benefit from this strategy. Each Sunday at 9:00am and 11:00am in the Connection Gym at the Grace Place teens can join others there age in gatherings designed specifically to engage them. This time includes worship, teaching, and small groups. Make plans each week to have your student involved because there is no greater time to influence a child before the reach adulthood! The second way is to visit our Parent's Page on this website and get equipped as a parent to get more involved in the eternal destiny of your child. Being on the same page with your church leaders and having the same vision in your student's ministry is extremely important. It will help you reach your potential to impart biblical truths your children will carry for the rest of their lives.
