Dr. Danny McCain is the founder and director of IICS (International Institute for Christian Studies) in Nigeria. The main focus of IICS is to establish Departments of Christian Studies in all of Nigeria's universities, as well as to administer a training program for teachers of religious studies in all of the primary and secondary schools in the country. It is required that each student in Nigeria study either Christian or Muslim religion.
Danny writes the textbooks and has developed the training program for teachers to ensure that everything takes place in a Biblically correct manner. The message of Jesus, as well as Christian values and ethics, is being taught in the public schools in Nigeria!
IICS is also preparing professors to go into university classrooms in unreached areas of our world: Vietnam, Romania, Czech Republic and Bangladesh.
Danny McCain's latest challenge has been the writing of a faith-based AIDS awareness program for primary and secondary schools in Nigeria. As AIDS is killing Africa, this project is both vital and timely. The Nigerian Minister of Education as well as the President of Nigeria, have shown tremendous interest and support for the program, which has been produced in both Christian and Muslim versions.
